overloaded_errorYou stream a Claude Messages API response and rely on the status code for errors.
The stream started with 200 and then ends with an error event.
With server-sent events, an error can occur after the API has already returned a 200 response, so normal status-based error handling does not see it.
Handle error events inside the stream and treat the stream as complete only after the final message event.
# Python: stream and treat only the final message event as success
with client.messages.stream(model=MODEL, max_tokens=1024, messages=msgs) as s:
final = s.get_final_message()
The call must return a final message object. An exception or an error event means the response is incomplete.
